Applications for ANAIS 2026 are opening soon!

ANAIS 2026 will be held fully onsite, and selected applicants must attend in person.

Eligible Applicants

Applicants may apply under one of the following categories:

1. Student: Full-time students enrolled in an academic institution. This category also includes recent graduates who completed their studies within the last six months and are currently unemployed.

2. Start-up Professional: Professionals currently working in a start-up.

3. Academic Professional: Professionals working full-time in an academic or research institution.

4. Other Professional: Industry professionals, part-time academic or research professionals, self-employed professionals, freelancers, consultants, and other relevant professionals

Applicants should have a background or demonstrated interest in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or related fields.

Application Documents Checklist

Please prepare the following documents in separate PDF files before submitting your application.

1.  Curriculum Vitae (CV)  (Required for all applicants)

   • Include your qualifications, professional and research experience, achievements, and technical skills.

   • Scholarship applicants must include their GPA (e.g., 3.5 out of 4.0) or percentage (e.g., 80.51%) for relevant academic qualifications. If you are currently studying, provide your cumulative GPA or average grade for all completed semesters or years.

2. Evidence ID or Supporting Document (Required for Student and Start-up Professional applicants).

   • Student Evidence: Proof that you are currently enrolled in an academic institution or are awaiting final results. Acceptable proof includes a valid student ID card, an official letter from the institution, your most recent examination admit card, or your most recent academic transcript.

   • Start-up Employee Evidence: Provide the website of your current employer or start-up showing your profile, or an official letter from the start-up confirming your employment. 

3. Response to the Application Questions (Required if you are applying for a scholarship, wish to contribute as a Teaching Assistant (TA), or are requesting support, and is strongly encouraged for all other applicants).

   • Your response should explain your background, experience, and why you want to join the ANAlS.

   • Keep your answers clear and concise. Each answer should be no longer than 250 words.

   • Please use this template, write your answers carefully under each question, and upload the completed document with the other required application materials. Your answers may affect your chance of getting a scholarship, so please answer carefully and thoughtfully.

Upload each required document separately in the relevant upload section of the application form. Incomplete applications will not be considered. 

Note: Prepare your responses carefully and ensure that all information provided is clear, accurate, and authentic.

Guidance on Generative AI Use and Originality

You may use Generative AI tools to help with grammar, editing, making your ideas clearer, organizing your thoughts, or improving wording. However, the main content of your application, such as your experiences, projects, achievements, personal stories, motivations, challenges, and reflections, must truly reflect your own background and viewpoint.

We want to understand you, your experiences, and your motivation, rather than read generic text generated entirely by AI or text that AI assumes about you.

Applicants must ensure all information they submit is correct, real, and original. 

Copying or plagiarizing content, fabricating experiences or achievements, or submitting responses that are mostly or entirely generated by AI tools without meaningful personal input will be disqualified.

Application Deadlines

• Application deadlines and other important dates for ANAIS 2026 will be announced soon.

• We will communicate application results individually by email.

• International applicants will start receiving application decisions from October 2026.

• National applicants will start receiving application decisions from mid-November 2026.

• Selected applicants will receive further instructions regarding registration, payment, confirmation deadlines, and participation by email. Additional updates will also be communicated through the official ANAIS Discord community.

Scholarship and Registration Fees Waiver

• We offer a limited number of scholarships. Most scholarships cover all or part of the registration fee.

• Scholarship selection is very competitive and is based on financial need, merit, diversity, and inclusion.

• We also plan to award special full scholarships to two selected student applicants from each of Nepal’s seven provinces to support diversity and inclusion. These scholarships will cover the registration fee, accommodation, travel costs, and meal support during the program.

• For other scholarship recipients, financial support is generally limited to full or partial registration fee waivers. 

• Travel, accommodation, visa costs, meals outside the AI School, and other personal expenses are not covered unless explicitly stated in the scholarship offer.

• Response to the Application Questions is a mandatory document in your application to be eligible for any kind of Scholarship or Registration Fee Waiver.

• Selected Teaching Assistants (TAs) will have their registration fees fully waived.

Teaching Assistants (TAs) will help and guide fellow participants during hands-on lab sessions. Applicants who want to be TAs must show strong knowledge in at least one main topic taught by the school, supported by publications in top-tier peer-reviewed conferences/ journals or significant relevant industry experience.
